J. G. Wentworth Loan Officers Overtime Lawsuits

There currently are two lawsuits against JG Wentworth.  One is for the Loan Officers at the Woodbridge, Virginia call center and the second is for the Loan Officers at the Boca Raton, Florida call center.

Matthew Baker, a former Loan Officer with JG Wentworth, filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.  He claims that Loan Officers paid on a commission basis were improperly denied overtime. You can read the lawsuit here. Complaint

The Court authorized that Notice be sent to all Loan Officers that worked in the Woodbridge, Virginia call center for the period August 2, 2016 to the present. You can read the notice here. Notice.

In the second lawsuit we have requested that the Court authorize notice to all Loan Officers who worked at the Boca Raton, Florida call center.  The Court has not yet ruled on the motion.  You can read the lawsuit here. Complaint

Statute of Limitations: Employees in federal overtime actions can only recover wages dating at most three years back from the date they file their consent in federal court in an unpaid wage lawsuit.
